Current Service Update

Welcome back!

Leicester libraries are excited to welcome customers back to 13 of our libraries. Go to our reopening page to find out about which libraries are opening and their hours. All our libraries are Covid secure.

You will be able to browse and borrow books, use a computer or WiFI and make enquiries. We regret we are unable to provide newspapers, magazines and DVDs at this current time.

Temporarily there are no overdue charges for library books and all new loans have reverted back to 3 weeks.

All of our eResources are still available, our website has full details of our eBooks, eAudiobooks, eComics and eMagazines.

The Central, Hamilton and Fosse libraries remain closed, as some of our staff team are supporting Covid measures in the city. Book loans for these libraries have now been extended until 28 July.

Check out our Twitter and Facebook profiles for the latest information on all our services.
